The train is the most relaxed way to travel. From Amsterdam Centraal you travel via Brussels or Basel to Brig, then take the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn (MGB) towards Lax. Total travel time is approximately 8 to 9 hours.
Tip: book a Supersaver ticket in advance via sbb.ch for great discounts. A Halbtax or GA pass is useful if you visit Switzerland more often.

Directly at the property
Take the A2 towards Utrecht, then the E35 via Cologne and Basel. From Basel follow the A2/A8 towards Bern and then the A9 towards Sierre/Visp. Take the exit towards Brig and follow the signs to Lax.
Total distance from the middle of the Netherlands: approximately 950 km, travel time 10 to 11 hours (excl. stops). Plan an overnight stay en route or set off early in the morning.
Note: in winter the Grimsel, Furka and Nufenen Pass will be closed. The route via Brig/Visp is always open.
From Brussels via Namur and Luxembourg to Basel, then A2/A8 towards Bern and A9 to Visp/Brig. Travel time approx. 8–9 hours.
From Frankfurt follow the A5 towards Basel and then the same route. Travel time approx. 6–7 hours.
Fuel is more expensive in Switzerland than in the Netherlands and Germany — fill up just before the border.
